Saladin - 1169 - Saladin lead Sunni Muslims of Syria in an
invasion of Egypt and ended the Fatimid caliphate. Saladin's
forces also invaded Jerusalem, Palestine and Tripoli. The fall of
Jerusalem led to a 'third crusade.'
